Lots of DVD Authors like to use other tools for burning DVDs rather than their Authoring app. There are varied reasons for this, it frees up the Authoring Suite so it can be used for Authoring more projects or they may want to be able to control the burn speed (1x, 2x etc instead of the max). Whatever the reason, using Toast to Burn your Builds is fine, although it’s good to be aware of exactly what’s going on.
Many versions of DVDSP do not Output Region All Builds to the Hard Drive (irrespective of what is set in the Region/Copyright Tab). You can use DVDAfterEdit or other tools like MyDVDEdit to correct the RCM (Regional Code Mask). Once you have your Build ready, Open Toast 8.

There are times that you may only have a VIDEO_TS folder and need to Output a image (img, iso etc) for sending via FTP, WAM!NET or even just as a self contained backup. Toast 8 does allow you to save projects as Disc Images.
